Music Authors' Copyright Protection (MACP) Berhad was pleased to attend the International Confederation of Societies of Authors and Composers (CISAC) Asia-Pacific Committee Meeting held from April 22–23, 2025 at Manila, Phillppines.

     This significant gathering provided a valuable platform for MACP to engage with fellow collective management organizations (CMOs) from across the Asia-Pacific region, fostering reconnections, facilitating the exchange of ideas, and collaboratively working towards the advancement of music creators' rights in the contemporary evolving landscape.

     This year's meeting held particular significance as it coincided with the 60th anniversary celebration of the Filipino Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (FILSCAP). MACP extends its warmest congratulations to FILSCAP, our esteemed host and a long-standing CISAC member, on achieving this remarkable milestone.

     Key discussions during the meeting encompassed crucial topics such as lobbying efforts concerning Artificial Intelligence (AI) and the complexities surrounding the registration of AI-generated works. Attendees also received exciting updates on the development of CIS-Net 2.0 and noted the progress made in the implementation of the International Standard Musical Work Code (ISWC). Furthermore, members shared comprehensive national updates, highlighted prevailing challenges, and exchanged best practices, thereby reinforcing regional cooperation and a shared commitment to upholding the rights and interests of creators.

     Music Authors' Copyright Protection (MACP) Berhad berbesar hati menghadiri Mesyuarat Jawatankuasa Asia-Pasifik Konfederasi Antarabangsa Persatuan Penulis dan Komposer (CISAC) yang diadakan dari 22–23 April 2025 di Manila, Filipina.

     Perhimpunan penting ini menyediakan platform berharga bagi MACP untuk berinteraksi dengan organisasi pengurusan kolektif (CMO) lain dari seluruh rantau Asia-Pasifik, memupuk hubungan semula, memudahkan pertukaran idea, dan bekerjasama untuk memajukan hak-hak pencipta muzik dalam landskap kontemporari yang sentiasa berkembang.

     Mesyuarat tahun ini mempunyai kepentingan khusus kerana ia bertepatan dengan sambutan ulang tahun ke-60 Persatuan Komposer, Penulis dan Penerbit Filipina (FILSCAP). MACP merakamkan ucapan tahniah terhangat kepada FILSCAP, tuan rumah kami yang dihormati dan ahli CISAC yang telah lama, atas pencapaian mercu tanda yang luar biasa ini.

     Perbincangan utama semasa mesyuarat merangkumi topik-topik penting seperti usaha melobi berkaitan Kecerdasan Buatan (AI) dan kerumitan pendaftaran karya yang dihasilkan oleh AI. Para hadirin juga menerima maklumat terkini yang menarik mengenai pembangunan CIS-Net 2.0 dan mencatat kemajuan yang dicapai dalam pelaksanaan Kod Karya Muzik Piawaian Antarabangsa (ISWC). Selain itu, ahli-ahli berkongsi kemas kini nasional yang komprehensif, menonjolkan cabaran yang dihadapi, dan bertukar amalan terbaik, sekali gus memperkukuh kerjasama serantau dan komitmen bersama untuk menegakkan hak dan kepentingan pencipta.
